The Khalifa Award General Secretariat has highlighted the crucial role of local and Arab coordinators in promoting the award’s objectives and message. These efforts align with the UAE government’s broader goal of fostering academic and professional excellence both nationally and internationally.

This was announced during a meeting of the award’s general secretariat with remote teams of local and Arab coordinators, which was attended by Hamid Ibrahim, a member of the Khalifa Award for Education’s executive committee.

Amal Al-Afeefi, Secretary-General of the Khalifa Award, emphasised the significance of this meeting, which aims to shed light on the efforts of coordinators locally and internationally during the award’s 18th session, 2024-2025.

The attendees discussed a number of topics, including the timeline for the award’s activities since the launch of this session until the end of the deadline for receiving nominated works on 31st December, as well as reviewing the most prominent mechanisms and best scien
tific and practical practices on the part of coordinators in interacting with the educational field and encouraging various categories to nominate themselves.

The meeting also covered the duties and responsibilities of the award’s coordinators and their most notable efforts to elevate the award status.

Hamid Ibrahim, representing the award, emphasised the importance of the coordinators’ work and how they serve as a link between different parts of the educational process.

Participants also reviewed the suggestions made by the coordination teams for raising the award’s profile in the future, including its purpose, objectives, and target areas.
