DUBAI: H.H. Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Chairman of Abu Dhabi Executive Council, has visited GITEX Global 2024, held at the Dubai World Trade Centre, under the theme ‘Global Collaboration to Forge a Future AI Economy’.

Sheikh Khaled toured several national and local pavilions and was briefed on the initiatives and projects adopted by participating entities, aiming to leverage the latest AI and advanced technology solutions to accelerate digital transformation across various government services.

He also visited the Advanced Technology Research Council (ATRC) pavilion, showcasing the council’s latest technological innovations aimed at advancing research and development across AI technologies. In addition, Sheikh Khaled toured the pavilions of eand and Space42, a UAE-based company specialising in AI-powered space technology.

Furthermore, Sheikh Khaled visited the pavilion of the Saudi Arabian Military Industries (SAMI), a leading entity in the defence and secur
ity industry.

H.H. Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed highlighted the significance of GITEX Global as the world’s largest annual technology and startup exhibition, reaffirming its remarkable achievements that further strengthens Dubai and the UAE’s position on the regional and global digital and technological landscape.

He emphasised that GITEX Global establishes the nation’s global standing as a leading hub for adopting advanced technologies and harnessing artificial intelligence to identify future trends across various key sectors.

The 44th edition of GITEX Global is the largest in the exhibition’s history, featuring 6,500 exhibitors, 1,800 startups, and 1,200 investors from more than 180 countries, bringing together government, investment, and academic entities, along with experts and researchers from around the world.
