Amman: The Jordanian Standards and Metrology Organization (JSMO) has signed a cooperation agreement with the European-Jordanian Institute for Business Development (EJABI) to collaborate in the areas of training, development, and the exchange of expertise.
During the signing ceremony, JSMO Director General Abeer Zuhair emphasized the organization’s commitment to building partnerships with the industrial and commercial sectors, as well as laboratories. These partnerships aim to provide specialized training programs designed to equip workers in these sectors with the expertise necessary to enhance the quality and competitiveness of products and services.
Zuhair highlighted that the JSMO’s efforts are driven by royal directives focused on economic modernization and fostering public-private sector partnerships, all of which are aimed at achieving prosperity, sustainable development, and improving the standard of living for Jordanian citizens.
Chairperson of the Board of Directors of EJABI, Tamim Qasrawi, commen
ded the JSMO’s role in supporting industrial sectors by issuing Jordanian standards that align with scientific advancements and by granting certificates of conformity for products. He noted that these certificates play a crucial role in enhancing the competitiveness of Jordanian products.
Qasrawi also affirmed the Institute’s readiness to collaborate on training initiatives that will positively impact the industrial sector and other related fields by improving worker performance and developing their capabilities and skills.
The agreement includes provisions for the exchange of training programs, participation in regional and international events and conferences organized or co-organized by either party, cooperation in hosting joint events, and the exchange of expertise on topics of mutual interest.
