Amman: The Information and Communication Technology Association of Jordan (Intaj) announced the participation of Jordanian startups in the IoT/WT Innovation World Cup.

According to an Intaj statement Wednesday, the competition is organized by the World Innovation, Technology and Services Alliance (WITSA), during next October 4 -7 in Armenia, where 32 companies from 16 countries will compete to bag the cup.

Intaj said the competition is a “key global” event that celebrates the “best” emerging technology companies in the world, and aims to enhance their innovation, investment and cooperation with investors, which contributes to drive growth of the technology ecosystem globally.

Intaj noted this “unique” event begins with a national competition and moves to a global level, where the “best” startups are identified and reviewed by WITSA members in various countries and concludes with the world finals that will be held in 2024.

Meanwhile, Intaj Executive Director of Programs, Ziad Masry, said participation of t
he Kingdom’s startups represents an “important” step to strengthen the Kingdom’s position in the global technology arena, to provide the opportunity for Jordanian participants to contact with international investors and decision-makers in the industry.
