Jordanian expatriates have transferred $1.6838 billion in remittances during the first half of 2023, a figure closely mirroring the $1.6898 billion sent back during the same timeframe in 2022, according to preliminary data from the Central Bank of Jordan. Despite the steady year-over-year total, June witnessed a notable uptick in remittance performance, with a 5.9% growth to hit $284.1 million, outpacing the corresponding month from the previous year.
