Jordanian, 48-Arab pilgrims complete Hajj rituals

Jordanian and 48-Arab pilgrims finished their rituals by the Ramy Al-Jamarat (Stoning of the Devil) during the three Days of Tashreeq, thus completing Hajj Manasik (the pillars of Hajj), in preparation for their return back to their homes after a spiritual journey that every Muslim all over the world longs for. “On the eighth day of Dhul-Hijjah, pilgrims performed Ihram from their places of residence in Mecca, and they went in the evening to Arafat to prepare to stand on Mount Arafat on the ninth day of Dhul-Hijjah,” Mufti Sheikh Marzouq Al-Shurafat from the General Ifta Department who is accompanying the guidance mission of the Ministry of Awqaf for the current Hajj season told the Jordan News Agency (Petra). Al-Shurafat added that the pilgrims performed Dhur and Asr prayers, shortened and joined, in Arafat, then spent their day with praying to Allah and reciting the Holy Quran. “After sunset on the day of Arafa on the ninth of Dhul-Hijjah, pilgrims went to Muzdalifah to fulfill the ritual of staying overnight there and prayed Maghrib and Isha, shortened and joined. After performing the ritual of staying overnight, they picked up stones (the Jamarat) to throw them in Mina on the day of Eid and the Days of Tashreeq, then they set off towards the Masjid al-Haram (Great Mosque of Mecca) for Tawaf al-Ifaadah on the tenth day of Dhu al-Hijjah, the day of Eid Al-Adha, which is the Great Day of Hajj,” Al-Shurafat added. Pilgrims went to the Masjid al-Haram, performed the tawaf al-Ifadah, sought between Safa and Marwah, then cleaned themselves by shaving or shortening their hair, then headed to Mina to throw seven Jamarat (stones) at the Great Jamarat al-Aqaba al-Kubra, then they achieved the overnight stay that night on the eleventh of Dhu al-Hijjah in Mina. On the eleventh day, pilgrims went to the Jamarat to stone Jamrat al-Aqaba al-Sughra, with seven Jamarat, then the Jamrat al-Aqaba al-Wusta with with seven Jamarat, then they spent the night on the twelfth of Dhu al-Hijjah in the Mina camp. On the twelfth day, they went to the Jamarat to throw Jamrat al-Aqabah, al-Sughra with seven Jamrat , then al-Wusta with seven Jamrat, then al-Kubra with seven Jamrat , And then leaving Mina. On this day, pilgrims went to the Masjid al-Haram after setting out from Mina to perform the Tawaf Al-Wada (farewell Tawaf), the complete their Hajj rituals, and then return to their countries safely.
