Amman: Mashhour Rifai, Secretary General of the Higher Council for Science and Technology, met with Tunisian Ambassador to Amman Mufida Zaribi to discuss enhancing scientific and technological cooperation between Jordan and Tunisia. The discussion focused on building connections with centers and institutions that share the Council’s goals.
The meeting highlighted preparations for the 10th Arab Forum for Research and Sustainable Development. This forum, organized by the Arab League Educational, Cultural and Scientific Organization (ALECSO), is scheduled to take place in Tunisia next month. Rifai will present a working paper on the role of the Higher Council in advancing scientific research and leadership.
Rifai emphasized the Council’s commitment to fostering regional and international networks. The aim is to develop policies for science, technology, and innovation, support scientific research and entrepreneurship, and connect Jordanian researchers with their global counterparts to implement projects that be
nefit national economies.
Zaribi underscored the importance of collaborative efforts between Tunisian and Jordanian researchers to advance technology and scientific cooperation. She also highlighted Tunisia’s upcoming participation in the Red Sea Environment Conference, hosted by the Higher Council for Science and Technology next year.
