Amman: Minister of Investment, Kholoud Saqqaf, on Thursday discussed with Rwandan Ambassador Urujeni Bakuramutsa, ways to enhance bilateral investment cooperation.

Saqqaf highlighted the significance of the Rwandan Minister of Industry and Trade’s visit to Jordan in February, during which the Jordanian-Rwandan Business Forum and official discussions were held.

The visit followed the Royal visit to Rwanda in January, underlining the need to expand cooperation across multiple sectors to advance mutual interests.

Saqqaf also underscored the “ample” potential for joint collaboration, particularly in trade and investment areas, expressing Jordan’s keenness to strengthen and broaden partnerships.

Saqqaf emphasized the importance of working closely with Rwanda to stimulate Rwandan companies to explore investment opportunities in Jordan, calling for organizing promotional visits to showcase Jordan’s investment potential.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed the “positive” developments in Jordan’s investme
nt climate over the past two years, which have bolstered opportunities to attract more investments, according to a ministry statement.

The statement added that Saqqaf and Bakuramutsa reviewed “key” investment opportunities, indicators, and incentives under Jordan’s recently endorsed Investment Environment Law, as Saqqaf briefed the ambassador on the investment platform invest.jo.

Meanwhile, the envoy commended the “robust” bilateral relations, affirming her country’s commitment to further develop these ties to achieve mutual benefit.

The diplomat also highlighted the importance of arranging mutual meetings for investors to highlight “prominent” investment prospects in both Jordan and Rwanda.
