The Jordanian Paralympic weightlifting team are competing in the world championship competitions in Dubai between August 21 and August 30 in the games that would qualify for the 2024 Paris Paralympics. The national team, which is leaving tomorrow for Dubai, comprises nine players: Omar Qarada, Jamil Shibli, Abdul-Karim Khattab, Moataz Junaidi, Muhammad Tarbash, Ali Shubash, Muhammad Shinaiti, Tharwat Hajjaj and Asmaa Issa. The Jordanian participation in the last World Championship in Tbilisi, Georgia, in September 2021 saw the winning of four Jordanians with two gold medals, one bronze and one silver. Ahmed Hiyasat will head the Jordanian team. The technical staff of the Jordanian Paralympic weightlifting team comprises Issa Hilal as a coach and Ahmed Abu Al Rub as an assistant.
