Amman: The Ju-Jitsu Regional Championship West Asia, which is organized by Jordan Jiu-Jitsu Federation (JJJF), is set to kick off Thursday, at Princess Sumaya Hall in Al-Hussein Youth City (AYC).
The competitions will see participation of 160 male and female athletes representing Iraq, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Bahrain, Qatar, Lebanon, Syria, and Palestine, in addition to Jordan.
The tournament will see the participation of male and female athletes in all age categories and is expected to witness “strong” competition, as the players of the participating teams took part in intensive training upon their arrival to Amman two days ago, according to the federation statement.
The statement added that technical and administrative arrangements were completed in the AYC’s venues, as per legal requirements, which reflects the event’s importance, as a “new” stage to achieve further development of this sport at the Kingdom’s level.

m outside Jordan, accredited by Ju-Jitsu Asian Union (JJAU)
