Director General of Jordan Design and Development Bureau (JODDB) on Sunday inaugurated the 21st Defense Technology Course (DTC), which is held annually by the center since 2006, in cooperation with Cranfield University in Britain.
According to a JODDB statement, the opening ceremony was attended by directors of the land defense systems, industrial solutions, military equipment, smart technology, and advanced electronics sectors.
The statement added that the course is attended by participants from Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Yemen, Qatar, Nigeria, the Jordan Armed Forces (JAF), and the Public Security Directorate (PSD).
The course focuses on the key issues in the fields of defense technology and the related know-how, prioritizing the latest technical and operational capabilities of defense equipment, specifications for their uses, and ways to sustain their operability.
The event features several axes related to armament, protection capabilities, electronic warfare, information security, cybersecurity, and artif
icial intelligence, the ststement pointed out.
On its goals, the event aims to qualify its military and civil participants to use defense technology in practical areas, as the course will be presented by qualified Jordanian experts and certified trainers from Cranfield University in Britain.
