Amman: Director General of Jordan Cooperative Corporation (JCC), Abdel Fattah Shalabi, on Sunday discussed with representatives of John Paul II Foundation, cooperation aspects to support Jordan’s cooperative societies and ways to implement projects in the Kingdom’s governorates of Irbid, Jerash, Mafraq, Karak, funded by the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation (AICS).
During his meeting with the foundation’s regional projects director, Luca Rossi, and its project manager, Valentina De Caro, Shalabi highlighted the JCC’s role and tasks in enhancing cooperative work in Jordanian society and procedures for establishing cooperative businesses.
The two sides agreed to kick off joint coordination to enhance mechanisms for launching cooperation opportunities and maintain communication to serve cooperatives in the Kingdom’s governorates, targeted by the Italian foundation, according to a JCC statement.
Shalabi stressed the importance of building on the meeting’s outcomes to serve Jordan’s cooperative sector
and enhance the opportunities for securing additional support from the foundation to establish development and production projects in the Kingdom
