The Cairo International Center for Conflict Resolution, Peacekeeping and Peacebuilding (CCCPA) Director Nihad Abdel Latif met Japanese State Minister for Cabinet Affairs Shozo Kudo.

Abdel Latif stressed the importance of strengthening partnerships to confront the unprecedented global challenges that threaten international peace and security.

He highlighted the areas of focus that the center focuses on, which rely on Egypt’s leadership in resolving conflicts and its commitment to achieving peace and stability globally, which is a common priority between Egypt and Japan.

On his part, Kudo praised the efforts and expertise of the CCCPA. Kudo stressed, during a meeting with CCCPA Director Nihad Abdel Latif, Japan’s keenness to expand cooperation with the center, based on its keenness to support multilateral action and collective security, as well as the joint pursuit of achieving peace, security and development in the MENA region.

He also emphized Japan’s initiatives in Africa, especially the Tokyo Internatio
nal Conference on African Development (TICAD).
