Israeli settlers destroy water pipes in a village near Bethlehem

Colonial Israeli settlers destroyed water pipelines today in the village of Kisan, to the east of Bethlehem in the occupied West Bank, according to local sources. Ahmad Ghazal, a local Palestinian activist, told WAFA that a group of Israeli settlers from the colonial settlement of Maale Emwas broke into Palestinian-owned lands on the outskirts of the village and destroyed drinking water pipelines owned by Hasan Ebayat, a local Palestinian farmer. Israeli settler violence against Palestinians and their property is commonplace across the West Bank and is rarely prosecuted by Israeli occupation authorities. There are over 700,000 Israeli settlers living in colonial settlements in the West Bank and East Jerusalem in violation of international law.
