Israeli occupation forces opened fire this evening on a vehicle and arrested its driver in the town of Ya’bad, southwest of Jenin in the occupied West Bank, according to Palestinian security and local sources. The sources reported that Israeli occupation forces fired shots at the vehicle Mohammad Iyad Abbadi, 19, was traveling in as it passed near a school in the western outskirts of Ya’bad, before soldiers forced him out of the vehicle and arrested him. The youth himself was not injured, although several other vehicles in the area were also targeted with Israeli gunfire. Following the incident, Israeli occupation forces stormed Ya’bad, setting up ambushes among olive groves and intensifying their military presence in the town and surrounding villages.
