Israeli occupation forces round up over 14 Palestinians in West Bank


RAMALLAH: Israeli occupation forces have continued their mass detention campaign in the West Bank, detaining at least 14 Palestinians, including a child, over the last few hours in a series of raids into Palestinian cities, towns, villages and refugee camps across the occupied territory.

In the Tulkarm province, north of the territory, Israeli forces stormed the village of Qaffin and detained four Palestinians after raiding and searching their homes.

In Jericho, east of the West Bank, an Israeli army force stormed Ein as-Sultan refugee camp, detaining a 16-year-old child, identified as Hani Sarafandi, after raiding and searching his family home and vandalizing its content.

In Ramallah province, the occupying Israeli military stormed the town of Deir Abu Meshaal and detained a number of local residents after raiding and searching several homes in the town.

Forces also stormed the Al-Amaari refugee camp in Ramallah, detaining two local residents after raiding and searching their homes.

In Hebron, south of
the West Bank, at least two Palestinians were arrested in an Israeli army raid into the town of Surif. During the raids in the town, army stole an amount of cash of nearly 30,000 shekels (about $8,300) from the house of Sameeh Aabed, a local Palestinian resident.

In the Al-Far’a refugee camp, in the northern province of Tubas, an Israeli army force detained a wounded young Palestinian man from inside an ambulance.

Anas Nassr Sawalmeh had earlier been shot and injured by the Israeli troops as they stormed the camp when soldiers stopped the Red Crescent vehicle he was in-in his way to the hospital-and detained him, according to local sources.
