RAMALLAH: Israeli occupation forces carried out a series of arrests across the West Bank over the last few hours, detaining at least 12 Palestinians, including several children and former prisoners, the Palestinian Prisoner’s Society (PPS) said in a press statement.
PPS reported that the arrests were concentrated in the governorates of Bethlehem, Nablus, and Ramallah. The arrests were accompanied by widespread incursions, harassment, and brutal assaults, including severe beatings, by the Israeli occupation soldiers, the group added.
It pointed out that the total number of Palestinians arrested since October 7th of the last year has risen to over 7,340. This figure includes individuals arrested from their homes, at military checkpoints, those who surrendered under pressure, and those taken as hostages.
