Israeli occupation forces Saturday arrested 22 Palestinians, including a journalist, a woman, children and ex-prisoners, during raids across the West Bank.
The arrests brought to 70 the total detentions made during an ongoing military operation in the northern West Bank that began Wednesday morning, the Palestinian Prisoners’ Affairs Authority and the Palestinian Prisoners’ Club said in a joint statement.
These included confirmed arrests coinciding with the military campaign in Jenin and raids in various areas of the West Bank, according to the statement.
The Israeli army has arrested more than 10,300 people in the West Bank and occupied East Jerusalem since the start of the war on the Gaza Strip on October 7.
The statement pointed to a systematic policy of arrests that were stepped up after the Gaza war, not only in terms of detention numbers, but at the level of crimes perpetrated against the Palestinians.
