NABLUS: Several Palestinians suffered from suffocation today as Israeli occupation forces violently suppressed a weekly anti-settlement march in the town of Beita, located south of Nablus in the occupied West Bank.

Local sources reported that Israeli forces responded to the protest with live ammunition and tear gas canisters, resulting in multiple cases of suffocation among demonstrators who inhaled the toxic gas. Those affected received on-site medical treatment, while one individual sustained injuries to the hand from a tear gas canister.

Israeli forces also targeted ambulances in the vicinity of Mount Sabih, firing a tear gas canister directly at a vehicle belonging to the Palestinian Red Crescent Society, damaging its windshield.

The town of Beita has been facing ongoing assaults from Israeli forces and settlers following the establishment of the settlement outpost Evyatar on Palestinian land at the summit of Mount Sabih.
