MASAFER YATTA: Israeli occupation forces today detained a Palestinian man from Al-Arroub camp, north of Hebron while colonists assaulted the head of the Susiya village council in Masafer Yatta.
Security and local sources reported that the occupation forces detained local resident Salim Hilmi Al-Warasneh after raiding and searching his home in the camp.
Meanwhile, armed colonists assaulted the head of the Susiya village council in Masafer Yatta, Jihad Al-Nawaj’a, with a rifle, while he was heading in his vehicle from the Wadi Ma’in area to the village of Susiya.
He was transferred to Yatta Governmental Hospital for medical treatment after sustaining fractures in his ribs.
The occupation army also opened fire at reidents’ vehicles in the Umm Al-Khair area and abused their passengers, which hindered the movement of citizens between the Yatta hamlets and the city of Yatta.
The occupation forces stormed the town of As-Samu’ and searched a number of homes.
In this context, the occupation forces tightened thei
r military measures at military checkpoints, and abused citizens while detaining them, or stopping their vehicles, in most areas of the Hebron governorate.
