HEBRON: For the 16th consecutive day, Israeli occupation forces have prohibited the call to the dawn prayer at the Ibrahimi Mosque in Hebron, sparking outrage among local worshippers and officials.

According to Ghassan Al-Rajabi, the Director of Muslim Awqaf (Endowments) in Hebron, the ban is aimed at allowing settlers to conduct their religious rituals in the part of the mosque that has been occupied. This section includes the area where the call to prayer is traditionally announced.

Al-Rajabi stated that Israeli forces have intensified their security measures around the mosque, implementing stricter controls at entry points and military checkpoints leading to the site.

He described these actions as an effort to obstruct access for worshippers and visitors, raising concerns about the impact on religious freedoms in the area.
