Israeli occupation forces today closed multiple checkpoints in Tulkarem city, in the northern occupied West Bank, obstructing Palestinians’ movement and restricting their entry into or exit out of the city, according to local sources.
Forces sealed off the military checkpoint of Ennab to the east of the occupied West Bank city of Tulkarem in both directions and prevented residents from entering or leaving the city.
Furthermore, the army closed the military checkpoint of Shofa, northeast of Tulkarem, where they proceeded to stop Palestinian-registered vehicles, particularly those leaving the city, and to check the identity cards of passengers.
A third military checkpoint was also placed at the entrance of the town of Bal’a, west of the city, obstructing the movement of commuters, mainly cars entering the city, which resulted in a heavy traffic jam.
