RAMALLAH: The Israeli occupation forces at dawn on Wednesday blew up the house of Palestinian detainee Mourid Mahmoud Dahadha in the town of Atara, north of Ramallah.

Local sources reported to WAFA that a force of about 30 military vehicles, accompanied by bulldozers, stormed the town at the same time as the occupation forces closed the two entrances to the town with military checkpoints, and blew up Dahadha’s house, which is a house under construction located on the third floor of a three-story residential building, and blew up parts of the other two floors of his brother and his family.

The same sources added that the occupation forces raided a number of homes, destroyed their contents, and detained the young man Mahmoud Fahim Khatiri, and detained dozens of citizens, including women.

Eyewitnesses said that the occupation forces tried to prevent civilians from leaving their homes in the town by shooting at them, while vehicles trying to approach the checkpoint at the entrance to the town were targeted wi
th live bullets and sound bombs.

No casualties were reported, however.

Last April, the occupation army confirmed its intention to demolish Dahadaha’s house on the grounds that he allegedly participated in a shooting operation that took place in January east of Ramallah, noting that he has been detained since January 8.
