Israeli forces today attacked Palestinian residents in the village of Qaryout to the south of Nablus for fending off an Israeli settlers’ incursion into a water spring in the village. Eyewitnesses told WAFA that settlers stormed an area to the west of the village of Qaryout in an attempt to take over the spring. Residents rushed to the area to fend off the settlers’ attempt to take over the spring but were attacked by Israeli forces, who provided protection to settlers. Forces attacked residents with tear gas canisters, causing several people to suffocate. This isn’t the first such attempt by settlers to take over the spring.
