NABLUS: Israeli colonists went on a rampage last night into the town of Sawiya, located south of Nablus in the occupied West Bank, setting fire to a civilian vehicle and launching an attack on the homes of local residents.
Local sources confirmed that the assailants, identified as heavily armed gangs of colonists, carried out the assault on the neighborhood of Al-Jora in the town.
During the attack, the colonists deliberately set ablaze a vehicle belonging to one of the town’s citizens before locals were able to fend off the attack.
No injuries were reported among the local citizens.
Terror attacks by Israeli colonist militias are a common feature of the daily life under colonial settler occupation, but have seen exponential growth in recent months with the rise of ultranationalist fascism in Israel’s government coalition.
