JORDAN VALLEY: Israeli colonists today set up tents in Khirbet Umm al-Jimal in the northern Jordan Valley.

The head of the village council of al-Maleh, Mahdi Daraghmeh, said that a group of Israeli colonists along with their livestock, set up several tents and placed them near the tents of local residents in Umm al-Jimal.

Since yesterday, the occupation forces have imposed a tight military cordon on the villages of the northern, under the pretext of searching for the perpetrator of a shooting operation that took place in the Jordan Valley that resulted in the killing of a colonist.

The occupation forces also tightened their military measures at the Tayasir and Hamra military checkpoints in the northern Jordan Valley, obstructing the movement of people and causing traffic jam.
