Israeli colonists set large swaths of agricultural lands on fire in Nablus

NABLUS: Israeli colonists today set swaths of lands on fire in the village of Al-Lubban Al-Sharqiya, south of Nablus, in the northern West Bank.

The head of the Al-Lubban Al-Sharqiya village council, Yaqoub Awis, said that a group of Israeli colonists set fire to fields planted with olive trees near the road between Ramallah and Nablus.

According to the Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission, colonists carried out 206 acts of vandalism and theft of citizens’ property during the month of August, which affected vast areas of land,

The colonists also stole 509 heads of sheep and seized 9 vehicles and tractors, and uprooted 477 trees, including 397 olive trees in the governorates of Hebron, Salfit, Bethlehem, Nablus, and Ramallah.
