Israeli colonists attack Palestinian, seize his vehicle near Ramallah

RAMALLAH: Israeli colonists Wednesday evening attacked a Palestinian and seized his vehicle near the Deir Dibwan town, east of the occupied West Bank city of Ramallah, according to security sources.

They said that several colonists set up a roadblock on the outskirts of the town, assaulted a villager of Burqa who was driving nearby and seized his vehicle.

Meanwhile, Israeli colonists mounted an attack on Palestinians’ houses in the Khalayel al-Louz locality, southeast of the occupied West Bank city of Bethlehem.

Hassan Breijah, Israeli wall and settler-colonialism specialist, said that several colonists, under army protection, attacked houses belonging to the Abu Kamel family, simultaneously while firing barrages of gunfire as well as teargas and concussion bombs.

Not only did not the occupation soldiers stop the attack, but also they chased Palestinians and their vehicles in the locality.

Colonists’ violence against Palestinians and their property is routine in the West Bank and is rarely prosecuted by
Israeli authorities.

Colonists’ violence includes property and mosque arsons, stone-throwing, uprooting of crops and olive trees, and attacks on vulnerable homes, among others.

Over 700,000 Israeli colonists are living in colonies across occupied East Jerusalem and the West Bank in violation of international law.
