Israeli colonists attack Palestinian house Northeast of Ramallah, cause material damageJordan congratulates Algeria for its non-permanent membership in Security Council

RAMALLAH: Israeli colonial settlers attacked late at night on Monday a Palestinian house in the town of Turmus Ayya, northeast of Ramallah, said security sources.

Sources informed WAFA that a group of colonists attacked a house on the outskirts of the town with stones and tried to set it on fire, causing material damage to the house’s solar power unit and to several parked vehicles.

Amman: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates congratulated Algeria on beginning its two-year mandate as a non-permanent member of the United Nations Security Council for 2024-2025.

The ministry spokesperson, Sufyan Qudah, said that Algeria’s well-deserved position reflects its prestigious status on the international stage, the excellence of its diplomacy, and its tireless and prominent efforts to support international peace and security, as well as humanitarian and development programs around the world.

Qudah also emphasized the Kingdom’s support for Algeria’s international efforts and responsibilities, which contribute to servicing common Arab issues and interests and safeguarding international peace and security.

Qudah expressed the Kingdom’s appreciation for the United Arab Emirates’ efforts to advance Arab issues, particularly the Palestinian cause, during its two-year term in the Security Council.
