HEBRON: Israeli colonists, protected by Israeli occupation forces, assaulted farmers and shepherds this evening in the area of Masafer Yatta, located south of Hebron in the occupied West Bank.

WAFA correspondent said a group of colonists from the illegal outposts of Mitzpe Yair and Susiya, which are built on stolen Palestinian lands, attacked local Palestinian residents.

The colonists, who were armed, verbally abused the shepherds and their sheep chased them out of grazing land. They also searched caves and homes of Palestinian citizens, wearing uniforms resembling those of the Israeli occupation forces.

In a separate incident, an Israeli military vehicle ran over a camel in the village of Um Hmeita in Masafer Yatta.
