Amman: The Euro-Mediterranean Human Rights Monitor said on Sunday that, 48 hours after the International Court of Justice (ICJ) issued a ruling requiring Israel to take measures to prevent the crime of genocide against Palestinians in the Gaza Strip, the Israeli army continued to kill civilians, forcibly displace them, and starve them at the same rate.

The Euro-Med Monitor pointed out that it had documented the killing of more than 373 Palestinians by the Israeli army, including 345 civilians, in addition to more than 643 injuries, since the issuance of the ICJ’s ruling.

The Euro-Med Monitor added that Israel is continuing to ignore the ruling of the highest court in the world and is violating its international obligations, including the rules and principles of international law, by insisting on continuing to commit serious violations that amount to war crimes and crimes against humanity, including genocide against Palestinians.

The Euro-Med Monitor explained that, in addition to the ongoing Israeli shelli
ng, including the destruction of homes on the heads of their residents and the killing of forcibly displaced people after being terrorized and responding to illegal Israeli evacuation orders, Israel is continuing to attack what remains of the health system in Gaza, besieging hospitals that have remained partially operational in Khan Yunis in southern Gaza and targeting them directly. Both “Nasser” Public Hospital and “Al-Amal” Hospital of the Red Crescent are approaching total shutdown due to the siege and repeated targeting.

The Euro-Med Monitor said that the water tanks in the Nasser Medical Complex were damaged and disabled as a result of shrapnel and Israeli drone fire, without any actual possibility of repairing any of the damage due to the siege and targeting.

In addition, the countdown has begun to turn off the generators in the medical complex within 3 days, while the oxygen stock for Al-Amal Hospital has run out due to the Israeli army’s siege of the hospital, with continued targeting of it and its
surroundings.
