Investment Minister and Airbus Helicopters Explore Integrated Aviation System for Egypt


Cairo: Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade Hassan El Khatib emphasized the ministry’s commitment to supporting strategic, technology-driven industries aimed at boosting exports. This statement was made during a meeting with Eric Chevallier, the French ambassador to Egypt, and representatives from Airbus Helicopters, where they discussed a potential project to create an integrated aviation system to enhance Egypt’s tourism sector.

According to State Information Service Egypt, the discussion highlighted Egypt’s significant potential and dedication to leveraging global expertise to advance its aviation industry. The government aims to transform Egypt into a regional aviation hub for the Middle East and Africa. Ambassador Chevallier expressed France’s eagerness to strengthen economic ties with Egypt, especially in aviation, underscoring the importance of bilateral cooperation.
