Foreign Trade and Investment Minister Hassan Khatib underlined keenness on promoting local and international investments, thus contributing to meeting local market needs, generating new jobs and boosting economic growth rate.
He made the remarks during a meeting with General manager of Coca-Cola HBC Egypt Dan Timotin.
The meeting reviewed the company’s current and future investments in the Egyptian market.
Khatib tackled the company’s plans to invest 1 billion euros in Egypt over five years, starting from 2022.
For his part, Timotin said Egypt represents a strategic investment state that has distinguished investment potentials.
He noted that the company plans to establish a digital service center in Egypt for technological services.
The company has five factories, he said, noting that the company has over 6,000 jobs in addition to 100,000 indirect jobs. (MENA)
