AJMAN: The International Charity Organisation announced that it provided financial support amounting to AED 25,600,000 during the first half of 2024, to more than 17,000 beneficiaries inside the UAE, including 1,100 citizens who received various assistance worth more than AED 6 million.

The organisation also provided financial support to a value of one million and AED 964,000 to 22 local and charitable institutions, to enhance cooperation and social solidarity.

The assistance provided by the organisation to those registered with it included a variety of charitable projects and initiatives, including paying tuition fees, rent and maintaining homes, paying electricity bills, providing furniture and electrical appliances, residency renewal fees, providing tickets for needy families and debtors, university fees, medicines and surgeries, debt repayment, in addition to various other forms of assistance.

On this occasion, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Nuaimi, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Internation
al Charity Organisation, said, ‘We extend our thanks and gratitude to the kind-hearted people who generously contributed to supporting our charitable projects. With their continuous support, we were able to reach this large number of beneficiaries in just 6 months, this reflects the bright image of the people of the Emirates and its residents, and it shows the culture of goodness and giving that was established by the leadership of the Emirates and made it a methodology and a way of life.’

He stressed that the International Charity Organisation has been able, for over 40 years, to be a beacon of goodness and one of the pillars of humanitarian work in the UAE. It has expanded, through its projects, initiatives and campaigns, to help the most needy groups, continuing today to become one of the leading institutions in charitable work in the world, after having its areas of operation exceed more than 20 countries and regions, as it implemented thousands of projects under the banner of the UAE, including building
mosques, digging wells, building Quran memorization centres, health centres, and others.

Sheikh Mohammed Al Nuaimi also called on generous people to support the organisation’s campaigns, including the summer campaign and the back-to-school campaign, stressing that the campaign teams are following up in the field on the implementation of all charitable projects, whether inside or outside the UAE, including projects to distribute air conditioners and refrigerators to needy families and other important projects, which alleviates the suffering of those in need during these days.
