Trade and Industry Minister Nevin Gamea said on Friday the Trade and Industry Ministry is keen on offering all services required for the production process at various industrial complexes and activating decentralization to facilitate investment procedures
Gamea’s remarks came during her meeting with investors at the small industries complex in Merghem 2 district in Alexandria in the presence of Mohamed Al Zallat, the head of the Industrial Development Authority.
Gamea noted the meeting aims to tackle the challenges that investors face at the complex and resolve them, pointing out the ministry seeks to provide the complex with all services, including electricity, water and transport.
The Industrial Modernization Center of the ministry will offer technical support to the investors in Merghem to reduce the production cost and boost the complex’s competitiveness, the minister underlined.
The Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises Development Agency is currently funding the complex’s projects with a maximum of EGP 10 million for each project, she said, adding the agency will discuss the possibility of raising the financing limit for small projects.
The 204-unit complex had been offered for the investors in October, 165 of which had been handed over to them.
