Indonesian Ambassador to Egypt visits UAE Floating Hospital in Al Arish

Lutfi Rauf, Indonesian Ambassador to the Arab Republic of Egypt, visited the UAE Floating Hospital in Al Arish, which provides medical services to Palestinians from Gaza as part of Operation’Chivalrous Knight 3′.

Accompanied by Dr. Ahmed Mubarak, Director of the Hospital, the ambassador toured the hospital’s various departments, learning about the services offered to the injured and wounded from Gaza.

During the visit, he met with the team of Indonesian doctors working alongside Emirati medical staff and praised their efforts. He also emphasised the strong ties between the UAE and Indonesia, noting that both nations have presented a unique model of cooperation and joint humanitarian work.

He highlighted that the presence of Indonesian and Emirati medical teams at the UAE Floating Hospital embodies the close relationship between the two countries and their shared commitment to supporting the Palestinian people, who are facing difficult humanitarian conditions.

The ambassador commended the UAE’s initiative
to establish this hospital, which provides full medical services to Palestinians and operates around the clock to support and care for them.

The UAE Floating Hospital began its medical services for Palestinians on 23rd February. An Emirati medical team oversees the hospital, which has a capacity of 100 beds, along with an additional 100 beds for patient companions. The Emirati team is supported by an Indonesian medical team.

The hospital is equipped with an operating room, anaesthesia services, intensive care units, outpatient clinics, and auxiliary medical services such as X-rays, a pharmacy, and a laboratory, enhancing its ability to provide comprehensive care to its patients, in accordance with the highest global standards required for field hospitals.
