The head of the General Electoral District Committee for the twentieth House of Representatives elections, Fidaa Hamoud, Wednesday announced the preliminary results of the general electoral district.
Ten general lists won the seats allocated for political parties after exceeding the threshold of 40,958 votes: The Islamic Action List had 464,350 with 17 seats, Al Mithaq had 93,680 votes with 3 seats, the National Islamic Party had 87,519 with 3 seats, Irada had 75,121 votes with 3 seats, the National Union had 66,227 votes with 2 seats.
The Progress Party (Takadum) had 61,199 votes with 2 seats, the Workers Party had 50,142 with 2 seats, the Blessed Land Party had 50,244 votes with 2 seats, Namaa and Al-Amal party had 45,859 with 2 seats, and Azm had 41,891 votes with 2 seats.
The National Union and Progress lists also won the two seats allocated to Christians, one seat each, while the Al Mithaq list won the Circassian-Chechen seat.
