With the attendance of President Mahmoud Abbas, the 32nd summit of the Arab League today kick-started in the Saudi Arabian city of Jeddah. President Abbas arrived Thursday in Jeddah to participate in the 32nd regular Arab Renewal and Change Summit, under the chairmanship of Saudi Arabia. The summit is expected to discuss strengthening consultation and cooperation among the Arab states as part of the efforts aimed at maintaining regional security and stability, promoting Arab interests, with special focus on the explosive situation in the occupied Palestinian territories following Israeli violations against Jerusalem holy places and daily army and settler attacks as well as on escalating crises at the regional and international levels.
