In a telephone call with UK minister of state, PM Mustafa discusses Israel’s ongoing genocide against Palestinians in Gaza, escalations in West Bank

RAMALLAH: In a telephone call with UK minister of state for the Middle East and North Africa, Hamish Falconer, the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Mohammad Mustafa, discussed the latest developments in the Palestinian Territory in light of the ongoing genocide waged against the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip, and the escalated aggression of the occupation army and colonists in the West Bank.

Mustafa welcomed the many positive steps taken by the British government, most recently the decision to suspend some export licenses for arms sales to Israel, which is considered an important step towards adherence to international law, especially in light of the recent advisory opinion of the International Court of Justice (ICJ) on Israel’s illegal occupation of Palestinian territories.

The Prime Minister stressed the need to accelerate efforts to stop the war waged against the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip and to open more crossings to increase the amount of relief aid and
ensure unimpeded humanitarian access into and across Gaza.

Mustafa affirmed the continuation of Palestinian diplomatic efforts to criminalize the occupation, and to mobilize further support for the Palestinian right to self-determination, ending the occupation and embodying the establishment of an independent state.
