A World Bank report has underlined an upward rating where enrollment in higher education in Egypt is concerned.
The Cabinet’s Information and Decision Support Center (IDSC) said the WB report that was issued in September pointed to an increase in university enrollment rates from 2.7 million to 3.2 million students.
The report expected a further increase to 39 percent in 2025 up from 31 percent in 2014.
It also touched upon an increase among female university students to 55 percent.
The report considered such increase in higher education enrollment rates an achievement, though it still represents a financial and logistics challenge with the need to secure some four million seats for university students by 2025.
