Minister of Communications and IT Amr Talaat witnessed the inking of two agreements with Teradata Egypt for upskilling cadres and launching a practical training program for university students in the fields of analyzing mega data and AI.
Talaat said the digital Egypt strategy and ongoing projects fall within the framework of preparations for moving to the New Administrative Capital.
He stressed the state’s interest in mega data analysis, highlighting ongoing efforts to hone skills of technological and non-technological cadres.
He added that the state is keen on offering all needed facilities for international companies to invest in Egypt, lauding cooperation with Teradata company in various domains.
For his part, Richard Petley, Teradata’s Executive Vice President of Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA), hailed the development realized in Egypt and measures taken to lure foreign investments.
He also lauded the ICT Ministry’s vision to build digital Egypt as well as plans for developing the country’s ICT infrastructure.
Petley said he is looking forward to expanding the company’s activities in Egypt.
