Communications and Information Technology Minister Amr Talaat witnessed on Monday25/7/2022 the launching ceremony of ‘Delta Trust’ e-Signature Service by Telecom Egypt and El-Delta Electronic Systems which got an operating digital signature permit to provide digital signature services in Egypt.
In this regard, Talaat said the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology’s strategy is based on three main axes; which are providing more governance and easier services for the citizens, developing a secure digital infrastructure that allows citizens to all digital services, and creating a base of cadres capable of building a digital Egypt.
Talaat noted that the launch of the e-services comes in line with the state’s implementation of its digital transformation strategy, adding the new services help the citizens to deal with e-services of the government bodies, including the Tax Authority, Customs Authority, and General Organization for Social Insurance.
Meanwhile, CEO of Egypt’s Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA) Amr Mahfouz pointed to the steady growth in the volume of e-signature transactions, which exceeded 197 million in the first half of 2022, compared to only 3 million by the end of 2020.
The licensed company is entitled to offer a variety of services, including providing registration services and issuing digital signature certificates, digital signature tools, Online Certificate Status Protocol (OCSP) services, and E-seal and time-stamp services for both individuals and businesses through its extensive network of service outlets and its partnership with Telecom Egypt following the regulations and standards set by the ITIDA.
