The Minister of Communications and Information Technology Amr Talaat headed Monday to the US on a four-day visit to meet with various officials from major ICT international companies, said the ministry in a press release.
The meetings aim to strengthen Egypt-US collaboration, transfer field-related knowledge, and discuss investment opportunities in the Egyptian ICT sector.
The ICT minister is due to meet with members of the US Congress to discuss opening new horizons of cooperation between the two countries in relevant fields and shed light on the developments in the Egyptian ICT sector.
Talaat is due to meet with a number of Egyptian businessmen residing in the USA, specialists and experts in ICTs and the electronics industry, to discuss leveraging their expertise in the Egyptian ICT sector.
Furthermore, the ICT minister will hold meetings with members of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce (USCC) and numerous officials from major American ICT institutions and companies to discuss enhancing cooperation and attracting new investments to the Egyptian market in telecommunications infrastructure, electronics design and manufacturing, outsourcing, research and development (RandD), cybersecurity, digital capacity-building, and other related fields.
