Ibenge, Fathy, Keita and Tshabalala confirmed as Draw Assistants for TotalEnergies Champions League and TotalEnergies CAF Confederation Cup draw

Guinea star Naby Keita, Egyptian legend Ahmed Fathy, legendary coach Flerent Ibenge of DR Congo and South African icon Siphiwe Tshabalala will be the draw assistants during Monday’s Group Stage Draw of the 2024/25 TotalEnergies CAF Confederation Cup and the 2024 TotalEnergies CAF Champions League

The draw will be conducted on in Cairo on Monday at 13h00 local time (10h00 GMT) live on CAF platforms.

First will be the TotalEnergies CAF Confederation Cup Group Stage Draw at 13h00 Cairo time (10h00 GMT), followed by the TotalEnergiesCAF Champions League Draw at 14h00 local time (11h00 GMT).

Draw Assistants Profiles:

Naby Keita (Guinea)

Keita is a celebrated midfielder who has made significant contribution to African football. He has represented Guinea at various international levels, including the TotalEnergies CAF Africa Cup of Nations. He has enjoyed a successful club career, playing for teams such as RB Leipzig and Werder Bremen in Germany and Liverpool FC in England, where he won several titles, includi
ng the UEFA Champions League.

Florent Ibenge (DR Congo)

Ibenge is one of the most experienced coaches in Africa. He is best known for leading the Democratic Republic of Congo national team to the semi-finals of the TotalEnergies CAF Africa Cup of Nations in 2015, where they finished third.

He has also enjoyed success at club level, particularly with AS Vita Club and Moroccan side RS Berkane.

. Ibenge, the current coach of Al Hilal of Sudan, is famed for tactical acumen and deep understanding of the game.

Siphiwe Tshabalala (South Africa)

Tshabalala gained global recognition for scoring the opening goal of the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa.

He represented South Africa at several events.

At Club level, he played most of club football at Kaizer Chiefs.

Ahmed Fathy (Egypt)

Fathy, a distinguished Egyptian footballer, is remembered for his stellar international career with the national team.

Fathy played for several top clubs including Al Ahly SC, where he won numerous titles, including the CAF Cha
mpions League.
