Palestinian human rights organizations condemned the escalation of the Israeli occupation forces’ attack on the Gaza Strip, taking advantage of the international attention on its aggression against Lebanon.

The Palestinian Center, Al-Haq and Al-Mezan Center said in a joint statement that the Israeli occupation forces continue the crime of displacing thousands of residents of large areas of northern Gaza, issuing new evacuation orders on Sunday morning.

They added that the occupation forces intensified their attacks on homes, shelters and gatherings in Jabalia, Beit Lahia and Gaza City, coinciding with the start of a ground offensive, and bombed a school and a mosque sheltering displaced people in central Gaza.

They pointed out that this escalation comes as the Israeli aggression completes its first year, continuing to commit the crime of genocide against Palestinians in the Gaza Strip, which has led to the death and injury of more than 6 percent of the Gaza Strip’s population and threatens the possibility
of survival of the rest of its inhabitants.

The organizations called on the international community to stop supplying Israel with weapons, impose strict sanctions on it, and compel the occupation to comply with the decisions of the International Court of Justice that imposed temporary measures to prevent and stop the commission of the crime of genocide.

They called on the International Criminal Court to expedite its investigations and issue arrest warrants against those involved in war crimes, crimes against humanity and the crime of genocide committed against the Palestinian people.
