Minister of Housing, Utilities and New Urban Communities Assem El Gazzar held a meeting Friday at the New Administrative Capital (NAC) to follow up on the work progress in the NAC projects.
A statement issued by the ministry said Gazzar expressed his ministry’s commitment to the dates set for finalizing the projects which include the central parks, known as the Capital Park, as well as the Capital Residence projects and the Central Business District, that hosts 20 towers topped by the Iconic Tower which is a skyscraper with a total structural height of 393.8 metres (1,292 ft), and is considered the tallest building in Africa.
The minister said the implementation rate in the Capital Park project exceeded 89 percent. Built on 1,000 feddans the project includes green areas, lakes and playgrounds among other project.
