Housing Minister Assem el Gazzar participates in IFAT fair held in Munich with the participation of the most important specialists in researches and innovation.
IFAT is the biggest fair in the world for environmental technology and specialized in water, sanitation and garbage technology.
The fair includes various activities related to water, sanitation, safe treatment of contaminated water, recycling and limiting water pollution.
A number of Egyptian companies take part in the event.
Gazzar said that he will hold meetings with a number of the companies participating in this huge international fair to discuss the latest technologies and the challenges facing the water and sanitation sector in Egypt in addition to meetings with companies manufacturing water pipes and pumps used in treating water and sanitation.
The meetings will discuss means to boost cooperation and build abilities in addition to standing on the latest technologies in this field, he said, asserting the importance of localizing industries related to the sector of drinking water and sanitation in Egypt.
The fair includes seminars on water, energy and resources in addition to discussions on innovative options and sustainable solutions of energy and water resources, he said.
It also includes workshops on energy, efficiency in water supply, managing energy and resources in treating sanitation water and bioenergy and managing sanitation, he added.
A number of officials of the water and sanitation sector accompanied Gazzar during his visit to the fair to stand on the latest technologies in drinking water and sanitation to benefit from them in operation and maintenance.
