House Speaker Hanafi El Gebali asserted the depth of historic relations between Egypt and Azerbaijan, praising the big leap achieved in the two countries’ relations over the past phase which was crowned with a recent visit by President Abdel Fattah El Sisi to Baku.
Gebali’s remarks were made during his meeting on Tuesday 7/2/2023 with Azeri Speaker Sahiba Gafarova, currently visiting.
On the parliamentary relations, Gebali called for investing the big leap in bilateral relations to further enhance parliamentary cooperation, noting that the House of Representatives has recently approved the formation of a friendship parliamentary society between the two countries.
Meanwhile, Gafarova asserted that the two countries shared common factors which tied up the two friendly countries, praising the outcome of President’s Sisi visit to her country, which is the first of its kind by an Egyptian president.
She also invited Gebali to attend the Second Conference of the Non-Aligned Movement Parliamentary Network (NAM PN) will be held on March 13, 2023, in Manama, Bahrain.
