Basbous noted the committee is “closely” following up the current developments in Palestinian cities, the latest was Israeli aggression on Gaza Strip at Tuesday dawn. In this regard, he referred to Israel’s massacre that killed several Palestinians, including children and women, stressing the committee’s support for Jordan’s efforts and its contacts to stop Israeli escalation in Gaza Strip and all occupied Palestinian territories. Warning of Israel’s escalation and its serious consequences, the committee said its aggression would ignite tensions, threaten security and peace and fuel violence, which would lead to a humanitarian catastrophe that Israel’s bears sole responsibility, according to the statement. To boost inter-Palestinian unity, the committee called on the Palestinian people to resume inter-faction coordination and integration to counter Israel’s violations in Palestine.
