Higher Education Minister, RCOG delegation probe cooperation in women’s health domain


Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Ayman Ashour Friday 01/03/2024 received a delegation of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RCOG), led by its president Ranee Thakar, at the premises of the Ministry of Higher Education in the New Administrative Capital (NAC).

They discussed academic cooperation between the Ministry of Higher Education, the medical sector of the Supreme Council of Universities, the Supreme Council of University Hospitals and the RCOG in women’s health realm.

The minister hailed the rich history of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists and highlighted the extended cooperation between the two sides.

He shed light on fruitful cooperation between Egypt and the UK in the fields of higher education, scientific research, especially in the medical sector.

The strategic vision of the Higher Education Ministry aims to improve the quality of education through entering into strategic partnerships, Ashour said, noting that the ministry seeks tuning
Egypt into a premium destination for education across the region.

Meanwhile, president of the RCOG said the colleges welcome promoting joint-cooperation with Egypt, which is of special importance for the leading UK medical institutions.

She hailed progress achieved at the New Administrative Capital voicing pleasure of the RCOG for launching a branch for it in the NAC.
